To me I think it's an interesting move and progression of gov (not in a tricky way).. It's not a bad idea from 'brainstorming' which tries to be down to earth with people in cyber world.
People who read a lot tend to think (and criticise) a lot too. News is one way communication via 'a middleman' and there are too many middlemen online. This is just an easy way express their statements with their own words to a group of people who get information from internet via some popular tools..
And the tools are free! (I always object the way some PM's spent OUR TAX to get their own popularity.)
Well, at least they make people feel that politics is actually in everyone's everyday life.
